A great emotional day happened on 7th August 2020 when our Secret Spitfire Memorial arrived in huge style to Salisbury! The charity was supported by so many people which made it possible to get the Spitfire replica made, a Mk9 Spitfire which was build in Salisbury during the war by that incredible team of workers and flown by the famous Spitfire pilot Johnnie Johnson who took down so many enemy aircraft.

Due to the virus, memorial will now be put up next year in July at the Salisbury Rugby Club where one of the original factories was. This has given time to raise the rest of the funding needed to make a deserving memorial for those amazing workers. In the meantime Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum Airfield has kindly agreed to look after the Secret Spitfire and put it on display for all those who want to go see it in the flesh.

Any details needed and how  to support this important history can be found at the secretspitfiresmemorial.org.uk
